About Us

The Canadian Home Builders’ Association Central Interior (CHBA CI) is the voice of the residential construction industry across BC’s Central Interior and East Kootenay regions. Established in 1965, CHBA CI is a not-for-profit association representing 280+ member companies, including builders, renovators, developers, trades, suppliers, and industry professionals.

As part of a three-tier association structure, members benefit from advocacy and representation at the local, provincial, and national levels through CHBA Central Interior, CHBA BC, and CHBA National — recognized as the voice of Canada’s residential construction industry.

CHBA CI supports members through advocacy, education, networking, professional development, industry events, and government liaison while promoting innovation, housing affordability, and a strong residential construction industry.
